Ascent Solar Technologies’ (OTCMKTS:ASTI) Flexible Solar Panels onboard with Energizer (NYSE:ENR)

The future is looking bright for the Thorton, Colorado based photovoltaic company, as Ascent Solar Technologies' (OTCMKTS:ASTI) proprietary solar technology is changing the way consumers charge their devices on the go.
It comes as no surprise, then, that Ascent Solar Technologies’ (OTCMKTS:ASTI) flexible, lightweight (CIGS) solar panels were the perfect fit for Energizer’s (NYSE:ENR) latest consumer product line, Energizer® PowerKeep™. Ascent Solar’s flexible photovoltaic allows seamless integration of solar power into a myriad of applications with minimal restrictions. Ascent Solar Technologies’ proprietary photovoltaic modules are 100% made in America at the Company’s 120,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Thorton, Colorado.
Ascent Solar Technologies currently owns a manufacturing facility in Thornton, Colorado that has an estimated worth of over $11 million. The Company has put over $300 million into research and development since their establishment in 2005, a testament to their meticulous design process and dedication to their craft.
The functionality of Ascent Solar’s panels has granted Energizer® PowerKeep™ the ability to develop their initial four consumer products; the PowerKeep™ 12, PowerKeep™ 36, PowerKeep™ Pro, and the PowerKeep™ Wanderer. More products are expected to come in the first quarter of 2018.

The PowerKeep™ 12 and PowerKeep™ 36 are four-panel, foldible, solar charging kits, providing consumers the ability to charge on the go. The PowerKeep™ 12 is built to charge four Energizer®  NiMH rechargeable AA batteries and USB Devices while the PowerKeep™ 36 is built around function and longevity, incorporating a compact 10,000mAh power bank that can charge a variety of mobile devices.

The PowerKeep™ Pro and PowerKeep™ Wanderer are backpacks with Ascent Solar Technologies’ flexible solar panels affixed to the back. Each models has an integrated 10,000 mAh power bank that can charge laptops, cellphones, and other USB charged devices. The PowerKeep™ Wanderer includes a hydration pack intended for outdoor adventures.  Energizer (NYSE:ENR) reported net sales of 1.63 billion in 2016 and currently has a 2.87 Billion market cap.

PowerKeep™, having scored the brand name with consumer product giant, Energizer®, will certainly grant Ascent Solar Technologies the means of generating some well-deserved exposure for its proprietary flexible photovoltaic solar modules.
