AMD 's latest GPUs and CPUs selling like hotcakes, Intel  and Nvidia are facing some tough competition this year. 

  AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) With this month's release of the Radeon RX Vega™ GPUs and the Ryzen Threadripper™ CPUs, AMD has obtained top-dog status in the performance department. And now, if Amazon's (NASDAQ:AMZN) best sellers lists are any indication, AMD is giving Intel  (NASDAQ:INTC) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) something to worry about.

Just this week AMD announced the worldwide release of its cutting-edge Radeon RX Vega graphics cards. Built on the Vega GPU architecture and composed of a whopping 8GB of HBM2 memory, the RX Vega cards are the most advanced consumer graphics cards in the world. Bleeding-edge capabilities include 4096 Stream Processors, a Core Clock of 1247 MHz, and a memory data rate of 1.9 GB per second.

During an already record-setting year for AMD, through the successful launch of several award-winning Ryzen™ desktop processors, AMD earned the "highest-performance" rank in the desktop processor space, when just last week the Company announced the release of its state-of-the-art, 16-core processor, the Ryzen™ Threadripper™.
